People have been photographing graffiti as a way to keep a historical
record since its inception. As a natural extension, in the early
1980s, avid graffiti artists, fans, and photographers began creating
books to document the culture on a larger scale. As the 80s became
the 90s, technology had made it possible for individuals with the
talent and the means to make their own magazines. Now as we enter a
new century, it's easier than ever to make zines, resulting in
hundreds of graffiti zines, each providing a unique perspective
through articles, attitudes, and of course its own photo gallery.
These pages archive graffiti zines both past and present.
